As I’ve mentioned above, you can easily replace your 12 miters saw with a 10-inch miter saw blade. By doing so, you can enjoy the optimal speed, performance, and precision needed while cutting.

That said, it’s equally true that you can’t make the thicker or deeper cuts using a 10-inch blade over 12-inch. The bigger version offers relatively deeper yet less accurate woodcutting than the smaller-sized saw blade.

Can I put a 12-inch blade on a 10-inch table saw?

Not at all. The max capacity of a 10-inch miter saw is nothing but a 10” saw blade. In that case, 12” appears way bigger to get it compatible with the smaller version. And the arbor size won’t seem to be friendly as well.

Will a 12-inch miter saw cut a 2×10?

Note that if the blade appears bigger, then it’ll become more capable of making wider or deeper cuts. According to my study, a miter saw of 12 inches tends to cut up to 2×8 (At a degree of 90). So you may have to choose a bigger-sized blade to cut a 2×10 wood, keep in mind.
